Club AGM - 21 October 2020

Our club AGM will be held this year on Wednesday 21 October at 7pm. Due to Covid 19 the AGM will be held as a Zoom meeting – more details will follow nearer the time.

Please keep this date free in your diary – this is an important meeting for reviewing the past year, looking forward to the year ahead and voting for club officials (all are voluntary posts). Opportunities will be provided for those attending to raise comments, questions and suggestions.

A new club chair and new volunteers are needed

Club chair: A big thank you to Stephen Peate who has been club Chair in recent years (and has been and continues to be one of our coaches). Stephen is standing down from the position of Chair at the AGM in October. If anyone is interested in considering becoming our Chair please contact info@bigfootyouth.cc to find out more. The role is not over-demanding as you will be part of a team running the club.

Club vice-chair: We think it would be useful to have someone in this role as well to help with the running of the club – and as a new club position you can be involved in establishing it’s role! If anyone is interested please contact Adam at adam@bigfootcc.co.uk to discuss.

Club committee members: We would also value one or two more people to join our committee, to muck in and help out a bit – but also it is good for our club to have new people with fresh ideas and new perspectives! If anyone is interested please again contact Adam to discuss.

Volunteer coaches and helpers always needed: The club is totally run by volunteers, most of whom come from the parents / carers of our young riders. Without this input there will be no club. Each year a number of volunteers will move on and we need to replace them with new volunteers. In particular we need new volunteer coaches, but there are lots of other ways you can help too! It is a very rewarding volunteer activity, knowing you are helping to keep kids enjoying the healthy pursuit of cycling. If anyone is interested please again contact Adam to discuss.
