Club Cluster Training sessions

posted 29 Sep 2016, 14:15 by Bigfoot Go-Ride
Throughout the winter our local British Cycling coaches are running Club Cluster Training sessions at Herne Hill Velodrome and at the Cyclopark. These are physically challenging road bike sessions, working on fitness, race techniques and skills, and form a crucial part of your winter training. Over the last few years the Herne Hill sessions have attracted around 30 riders each week.

More information, including a few video clips are available here: http://www.bc-regions.co.uk/southeast/index.php?cID=122

The sessions are held on Tuesday evenings: 5.30pm to 7.30pm at Herne Hill or 7pm to 9pm at Cyclopark.

Herne Hill sessions start on 4th October, Cyclopark sessions on 11th October. Sessions will run through to March 2017.

Riders need to be members of Go-Ride clubs, and to be in Youth B, Youth A or Junior categories in 2017 (born between 2004 and 1999). These are winter sessions on an all weather facility, so please dress appropriately, with arms and legs and extremities covered, multiple layers, and bring a rain cape. Sessions will only be cancelled if there is ice on the track.

Each session costs £3, and you will need to bring a completed consent form (download a PDF below) to your first session. Please aim to attend sessions as regularly as possible as each session will build on the previous one as a series.

If you want to try something different and more physically challenging than our Bromley College sessions on a Tuesday night, then this could be for you.
