A new monthly road racing coaching session for Go-Ride Club Members at Cyclopark has just been announced.

Following on from the amazing efforts of John Leitch and the Powerpack team, British Cycling are going to run a coaching session one Sunday each month, using the whole Cyclopark circuit split into three different activity zones. After three coaching rotations there will be  a chaningang or a handicap race to finish.

Confirmed dates are 18 March, 13 May, 17 June, 29 July, 19 August, and 23rd September.

Sessions will run from from 9.30am to 12 noon.

The Cyclopark Go-Ride Coach Jimmy McCormack will be at every session, helping to organise groups and oversee things.

Go-Ride Club Coaches are needed to help run the sessions, so if you're free on a Sunday morning and would like to get involved and learn more about road cycling, please let Jimmy know by emailing  jimmymccormack@britishcycling.org.uk or calling 07534 281266.

There is also a request for parents to help with keeping groups safe, so if you have knowledge of the sport please come along with your bike.

Riders need to be Aged 8+ (Cat D, C, B, A) and have a road bike (or a CX bike with road tyres). No MTBs or hybrids allowed. Riders should have been to a few coaching sessions, and be familiar with basic group riding.

The session fee is £5. Riders need to set up an account at the following address and pre-enter sessions online:

There is a limit of 90 riders, and places will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis, so don't hang about!
