On Saturday 4 July we have a club outing to Bedgebury. This is open to all members of Bigfoot Go-Ride (Hayes and Pickhurst) and Bigfoot Youth CC.

What better way to enjoy the summer weather than riding the lumps, bumps, twists and turns of the off road route at Bedgebury National Pinetum?

Parents and children are welcome to join in, our coaches will lead various groups, so there will be a route and speed to suit everyone, some routes being easier than others.

We will meet at Bedgebury National Pinetum, TN17 2SL by the bike shop at 10.30am for an 11.00am start. We'll finish about 2.00pm. Click for map.

More details can be found at Bedgebury is 37 miles from Hayes - about a 1 hour drive. Parking costs £10 per car (via number plate recognition system, pay before exit, machine takes cash or cards).

This ride is suitable for muntain bikes or cyclocross bikes, with many routes also suitable for sturdy “normal” bikes.

There is also the option to hire a bike from Quench Bikes 01580 879694 - you can pay and book in advance.

Make sure you bring a helmet, spare inner tube, bike lock, drink, snack and some money if you want drinks and snacks at the cafe.

The cost is £3.50 per child (adults free, so no excuses not to join in!). There is no need to book or pay in advance, just turn up on the day.

If you have any questions or want a route map please email

Note that there will be no Go-Ride sessions at Hayes or Pickhurst on this day.
