We're delighted to report that Bigfoot Go-Ride's very own Stephen Peate was named as the winner of the Bigfoot CC Hugh Webb Award 2017.

The award was named after long-time member Hugh Webb in honour of his incredible contribution to the club over many years, and is awarded each year to a club member for outstanding performance or contribution to our club in some way.

Stephen was nominated by Adam Shepherd, who wrote:

"Mainly for his fantastic voluntary work with Bigfoot Go-Ride (the kids' club) – as a regular coach of both novice and regional level riders, taking out rides (including taking some of our kids on the ride to Brighton and back! 110 miles!), providing helpful supportive information to the kids on cycle racing, being actively involved in running many cycle races and liaising with the adult club over providing opportunities for our talented young riders to join adult rides. He is also our 'go to man' for the design of posters, certificates, etc. He is on the committee of both Bigfoot Go-Ride and Bigfoot CC – and thus has got involved in much more besides. And his contribution to the adult club? You can’t have a vibrant and sustainable club without encouraging future generations."

Congratulations Stephen!
