Year 7 or below? Want to try a Duathlon?

We've received the following invitation from Toby Willis, a Go-Ride parent and one of the founders of White Horse Triathlon Club:

"As a Bigfoot Go-Ride parent I know that lots of the kids like swimming and running as well as cycling. In September a friend and I started a kids triathlon club. We are based at Swanley Leisure Centre for swimming and Warren Road Primary for running and cycling.

Although starting a new club was a bit daunting, we had the expert help of Spencer and others from Bigfoot. On top of this, Mhairi, Fiona and Andy have taken up the challenge of being our cycle coaches.

We started by inviting kids from Years 1 to 6 at Warren Road. We are now looking to expand and wanted to give Bigfoot members the first chance to join us. To keep numbers manageable we are initially expanding our membership to include Year 7 children.

So if you're in Years 1 to 7 and you'd like to try your hand at tri, we've organised a cycling and running Duathlon at the Cyclopark in half term on Tuesday 16th February between 2pm and 4pm. This will be a fun chance to have a go at two of the three triathlon disciplines!

The entry fee is £7, and please let us know if you wish to come along by emailing us at whitehorsetri@gmail.com

For more info on the club please go to www.whitehorsetriathlon.co.uk

Thanks and hope to see some of you in half term."
