Bigfoot 10 time trials

Dates of the 2017 Bigfoot 10 mile TT series

The dates of the 2017 Bigfoot CC 10 mile TT series have now been finalised. We have been allocated the early slots (starting from 7.30pm) on the following dates:

  • Thursday 1st June – ADULTS ONLY
  • Thursday 8th June – ADULTS ONLY
  • Thursday 15th June
  • Thursday 22nd June
  • Thursday 29th June
  • Thursday 6th July
  • Thursday 13th July
  • Thursday 20th July – ADULTS ONLY

It may be possible for some Youth riders, who arrange their own chaperones, to also join in on the "adult only" days – contact Adam if you would like to explore that option via:

Bigfoot Youth has been lucky enough to secure 10 places for our young riders to take part in most of the main Bigfoot club's 10 mile time trial events this year.

You can take part in as many or as few as you like – so keen riders can hone their skills and strengths over the series of time trials. Or just come along, spectate and support!

The time trials take place on roads (see information sheet for route details) and so every young rider must be escorted round the circuit by an experienced adult rider. We will also be arranging an introductory ride(s) so riders can get acquainted with the route before the time trials.

Help needed

Our club MUST help with marshalling on the adult only dates (no previous experience needed), please let Adam know which dates you can do at and he will pass your details to the event organisers.

The course

There is detailed information about the time trial course in the PDF file below. There is plenty of parking in Crow Drive at the top of Polhill.

Suitable bikes

Road bikes are preferable, the lighter the bike the better. Bigfoot have a few road bikes that can be loaned out – if you think this would help please contact Adam at

Please make sure bikes are in good working order.

What you need to bring

A bike, suitable clothing, helmet, spare inner tube, drink and snacks.

Who can attend

Bigfoot Youth Riders aged 12 and over.

£4.00 per ride paid in cash at each event to the Bigfoot CC organiser – you then get your race number.

All riders are to be members of British Cycling – with at least 3rd party liability insurance – you should already have this in place as part of your requirements to join Bigfoot Youth. Please check your membership is up to date. If you are not a British Cycling member you will not be allowed to ride.

What to do next

If you want to take part please complete the form (link below) by Wednesday 7th June 2017:

We will then inform on who is riding and when. Each entrant will need to contact Adam at in order to arrange to complete the parental consent form (contained in the information sheet below) before the TTs.

If you are allocated a slot(s) and find you can’t make one you MUST inform Adam in advance so the slot can be reallocated (this event is always over subscribed).
